Used plastic isn’t waste!

It is our vision to make recycling your unwanted clothing, shoes, books and more an easy and rewarding process, not just by making the world a little bit greener, but by also financially benefiting the extremely important causes that your charity or hospice is supporting.

With over 15 years’ experience within the charity retail industry, we believe that offering great service, fair and sustainable pricing, along with our high standards of communication is fundamental to helping us deliver a stress-free, low impact, reliable collection service for our customers.

We are extremely excited to be a part of this years Charity Retail Association conference and as a charity retail recycler in their second year of trading, with a wealth of experience within the charity retail industry, we are ready to challenge the status quo of recycling.

This year we are the proud sponsor of the CRA’s sustainable name badges, the biodegradable sticker paper used for these stickers is mainly made from sugarcane fibres and a little bit of hemp and linen, making these paper stickers completely wood-free. And the best thing? These paper stickers are completely compostable. So please can we ask that once you are done with your sticker at the end of the conference, that you either return them to the CRA or you can simply pop them in to your food waste bin, and they will decompose within 12 weeks.

This sponsorship aligns beautifully with a project we have been working on this year hoping to launch in 2023. We have been in development talks with companies across the globe trying to tackle the enormous problem we have right here in the UK with waste plastic.

We are aiming this project directly at our clients in the charity retail industry, the very aim of this project is to aid charities and hospices in tackling their very own waste plastic, by turning it into useful products for resell in their stores or by creating bespoke shop fixtures and fittings.
This project will see charities and hospices get one step closer to being a full circle part of the community. We want to help our clients become more sustainable and work towards reducing their carbon footprint. Our products will help to reduce costs of shop fit outs and replace new goods with recycled waste plastic goods that can be resold on the shop floor. All the while fixing the problem at hand regarding waste plastic.

We are working out the finer details but will be hoping to launch this project in the new year and will be working closely with our clients on collecting their waste plastics in the same collection as their clothing, shoes, books etc. If you would like more information surrounding this project or are interested in us collecting your waste plastic along with your other recyclables, please do get in touch on info@therecyclingco.co.uk.
